The POS on a phone or tablet and printing at the main till

A phone or tablet signs in to the POS the first time with the owner's e-mail and password, and after that a cashier needs only a PIN. Receipts can come out of the printer at the main till, and the browser register can sell even without internet.

What you need

You do not have to install anything. The POS runs in the browser.

BusinessWhat the phone or tablet is for
BistroSelling on the terrace, the receipt comes out at the main till
HairdresserTablet by the chair as the only till
StallPhone and a portable Bluetooth printer
Convenience storeTablet for receiving goods and stock counts in the storeroom

The POS works in two ways. Find out which one you have, because the procedure differs a little.

Preparation for the Windows app

  1. On the main computer, open Admin → Devices.
  2. Tick Allow devices on the shop network and tap Save.
  3. Tap Restart register.
  4. When Windows shows the firewall window, click “Allow access” (Povolit přístup).
  5. Copy down the Address for other devices.

Signing in with e-mail and password

A new device is always signed in by the owner. You do not enter any pairing code.

  1. In the phone's browser, open the POS address or the Sign-in page.
  2. Enter the owner's E-mail and Password.
  3. Tap Sign in.

The device pairs by itself and the owner is signed in straight away. Add the address to your phone's home screen so that the cashier can find it.

A cashier logs in with a PIN

A cashier does not need the owner's password. However, the owner must first sign in the device, even if it is the cashier's phone.

  1. After the owner has signed in, open Menu → Log out.
  2. The POS shows a keypad. The cashier enters their PIN and confirms.
  3. The device stays paired. Next time, the PIN is enough.

With the browser register, a cashier can also go to the address from app.superkasa.cz: in the Staff: shop address and PIN section they type the address and tap Open my register. On a device that is not signed in, however, the owner's sign-in appears.

After 10 wrong PINs, login on the device is locked for 5 minutes.

How many devices the plan includes

Every plan includes up to 10 devices. Each computer, tablet, phone and each browser that signs in as a new device counts. You can see how many you have in Admin → System → Licence and plan in the Devices row.

  • When the limit is full, the POS shows Replace an old device. You select the one you no longer use.
  • You remove an old device in Admin → Devices with the Revoke button.
  • Need more than 10? Call us.

The sales overview for the owner does not take up a device in the plan. You create the link in Admin → System → Owner on mobile. It is read-only. In the Windows app it works only on the shop network.

Selling on a phone

At the top are search and the camera button, and below them the sale. The Categories and Main products buttons open the goods. The Done button takes you back to the sale. Payment works the same as on a computer.

Camera as a scanner

  1. Tap the camera icon in the search field.
  2. Allow the browser to use the camera.
  3. Point it at a barcode. It reads by itself.

The camera reads EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC codes. You will find a test in Menu → Barcode scanner.

The live camera works only on a secure address, which means in the browser register. The Windows app runs on the shop network without a secure address. There, tap Take photo and photograph the code up close, sharp and whole, including the white edge.

Pair a Bluetooth scanner in the phone's settings. It then acts as a keyboard.

Receiving goods on a tablet

The owner or a manager opens Admin → Stock → Receive goods. Each further scan adds one piece. The camera works here too. At the end, tap Add to stock. Shelf count works the same way.

Printing at the main till

  1. Set up the printer at the main till. The procedure is in the guide Receipt printer, barcode scanner and cash drawer.
  2. On the phone, open Menu → Printer.
  3. Choose Print on the main till's printer and select the device.
  4. Tap Use it and print a test.

With the browser register, printing goes over the internet and the phone does not have to be on the same Wi-Fi. With the Windows app, the phone must be on the shop network. Otherwise it does not connect to the POS at all.

The wizard also opens by itself at the first print. If you close it, receipts do not print automatically. You print them through Last and Print copy.

Lost or replaced phone

If a phone is lost or a cashier leaves, remove the device. This keeps strangers out of the POS.

  1. At the main till, open Admin → Devices.
  2. For that device, tap Revoke and confirm.
  3. If the device has an open register, the POS asks whether to close it remotely. The cash will then not be counted, so check it.

When a cashier leaves, switch off their Active option in Admin → Staff.

Internet outage

Browser register. Selling continues and above the sale the message Offline – keep selling, receipts upload automatically appears.

  • You can take only cash and card payments. QR payments, loyalty points and table bills do not work.
  • The device has receipt numbers reserved in advance. Without them, a sale cannot be saved.
  • Receipts are stored on the device and upload by themselves once connected, with their original time, including to EET.
  • The Waiting button shows the waiting receipts. Upload now sends them immediately.
  • The closing waits until all receipts have uploaded.
  • PIN login and opening the register need a connection. Leave the device logged in.
  • Printing at the main till does not work without internet, so the receipt goes through the browser window. A Bluetooth printer connected to the phone keeps printing.

Windows app. The main computer sells even without internet and sends sales to EET later. However, a tablet on the shop network needs a running main computer and working Wi-Fi. It has no offline mode of its own.

Frequently asked questions

Can a cashier use their own phone?

Yes, but the first sign-in must be done by the owner with their e-mail and password. The owner then logs out and the cashier enters a PIN.

Does each phone use up one device?

Yes. The plan includes up to 10 devices. The Owner on mobile overview does not count towards the limit.

Must the phone be on the same Wi-Fi as the main till?

With the browser register, no. Printing goes over the internet. With the Windows app, the phone must be on the shop network.

Does the POS work on an iPhone?

Yes, in the browser. Only the direct connection of a Bluetooth printer does not work. You can print on the printer at the main till.

Can I print price labels on a phone?

Yes, if you are a manager or owner and the phone has a printer set up. However, Admin is less convenient on a small screen than on a computer.
